2nd Quarter Financials -- January 24, 2006

-- Sales increase over 10% --

NEWPORT BEACH, California, January 24, 2006 – Biomerica, Inc. (OTC BB: BMRA) today reported consolidated net sales of $2.40 million for the second quarter ended November 30, 2005, compared to consolidated net sales of $2.16 million for the comparable quarter ended November 30, 2004.   Consolidated net sales for the first six months totaled  $4.72 million in fiscal year 2006 compared to $4.35 million in the previous year.

Biomerica announced a consolidated net profit of $1,803 or $0.00 per share (basic and diluted) for the second quarter ended November 30, 2005, compared to a consolidated loss of  $68,834, or $0.01 per share (basic and diluted) in the same quarter the previous fiscal year.   The consolidated net income for the six months ended November 30, 2005, was $65,194 or $0.01 per share (basic and diluted) versus a net loss of $118,978  or $0.02 per share (basic and diluted) in the previous fiscal year during the same period.

Effective as of December 1, 2005, the Company’s Lancer subsidiary financial statements will no longer be consolidated with those of Biomerica because Biomerica will no longer have direct or indirect control of more than 50% of Lancer's common stock due to fund raising activities at Lancer.

“This is the fourth consecutive quarter of profitability for the Company.  The financial turnaround in our diagnostic products group continues.  Biomerica diagnostic products sales increased 23% for the six month period ended November 2005.  The operating income net of intercompany adjustments from diagnostic products during six month period ended November 2005 was about $121,000 compared to a loss of approximately $86,000 during the previous year,” stated Zackary Irani, Biomerica CEO.   “We are working on a number of new products and looking forward to reporting our progress during this fiscal year.”
